Witch
In the first season episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer called "Witch" starts out where Buffy wants to try out for the cheerleading team. While they were at try outs something weird had happened. A girl named Amber was trying out and all of the sudden her hands became on fire. Then Buffy met a girl named Amy. She was upset because she wasn't good enough to make the team like her mom was when she was in school. The witch kept creating spells to knock off cheerleaders so she could become one. Buffy and her friends realized that Amy was the witch and had to find a way to prove she was one. We later find out that it wasn't actually Amy who was hurting these girls, it was her mom. Amy's mom had created a spell to switch bodies with her daughter so she could go back and live in her glory days again. In the end Buffy had conquer Amy's mother and everything was normal again. Thus in the episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer shows how the appearances can cause certain behaviors come out in people.

Amy had become a monster because of her mother. Her mother didn't like the fact Amy was going to high school and wasn't popular. Her mother didn't like how Amy's appearance was at school. She didn't like the fact that she wasn't on the cheerleading team and wasn't doing everything her mother was doing when she was high school. So Amy's mother decided that she wanted to go back in her high school days and relive it. This is when she made spell to switch bodies with her daughter. Amy's mother cared so much about her appearances that she didn't care if she was hurting the people she loved. The mother had become such a monster that Amy was so scared of her. Her mother was so powerful that she had these powers to help her hurt people.
Amy's mom wanted to go back and be in high school again because those were the best times of her life. She can relate to a lot of social issues because there are people who want to live and look like what they were in their high school days forever. It might be because they are popular and are wearing the best clothes or because they are the captain of the football or cheerleading team. People make such a big deal about the popular kids and what they look like that they don't realize that it doesn't matter in the real world. The episode offers a new perspective about being monstrous. It shows that it doesn't matter who you are or what you do or how you look you could always become monstrous.
The episode shows how appearances can cause certain behaviors to come out in people. As it was said earlier Amy's mother wanted to go back to high school so she could relive that life. Her mother was popular and a cheerleader and she was super pretty. Amy's mother didn't like that she was getting older and not looking the way she was in high school. So she had become a monster and turned on her daughter Amy. The monster in her mother became so bad that Amy was terrified of her mother. It shows in this episode that if you care about appearances that much then eventually you will become a monster. It's kind of sad that people have to be dealing with this with their parents or siblings or even their friends and peers. This show always teaches you about real like issues and it shows that if we care about appearances then you will turn into monster because that's all you care about.
