Kynslee Shepherd: Welcome to My Life

My name is Kynslee Shepherd. I am from York, PA and have lived there my entire life. Growing up, I was involved with basketball and field hockey and they completely took up my time. I will never regret playing these sports because I have met some of the most amazing people that I will call my forever friends. I am very happy go lucky and feel very fortunate to live the life I live. Family and friends are extremely important to me and is sort of what my life revolves around. I value honesty and respect and people that can have a good time. I have a small circle of friends, with a lot of acquaintances and I believe that is why my friendships are so strong and why they have lasted so long. I plan on majoring in Secondary Education with a focus in Citizenship with hopes of one day becoming a teacher at my high school and also coaching field hockey. I want to make a difference in kids lives just like teachers from my past have done for me. As I said, I was born in York, PA, but that is not exactly what I consider my home. I feel most complete and full in Nags Head, North Carolina (I even have the coordinates tattooed on my right shoulder), which is where I tend to spend a majority of my summers. The nostalgia of past summers spent with family and friends at the beach are what get my through the off-season months until I can once again be reunited with the warm sand and salty water. My goal of everyday life is to live each day to the fullest and never regret anything I do. It sounds cliche but if I'm being honest, I love cliche's. Cliche's make everyone happy and they remind me of fairytales and Hollywood movies. Call it shallow, but I believe that if it makes you happy, there is nothing wrong with it.
