Born on September 29, 1941, Frederick Walter Stephen West grew up to be one of the most dangerous serial killers in the United Kingdom.  Fred was born in Much Markle which is located in England, and raised by a father who would engage in sexual acts with family members, as well as animals.  According to Biography.com, his mother might have sexually abused Fred when he was a child, however he never claimed this allegation himself.  Although his negative background history may be the cause of his violent behavior, other brain-related trauma was suggested to contribute to it, such as a motorcycle accident and a fall from a fire escape.  

Before his murderous days, he had much trouble with the police involving the rape of a thirteen year old girl.  After getting out of the jail sentence, he soon met and impregnated his first wife Rena Costello, who already has a child, Charmaine.  Once their daughter Anna Marie was born, they moved to Gloucester in 1964 and met his Anna McFall, a friend who he also got pregnant.  Due to her getting pregnant, he killed her as well as chopped off her fingers and toes, which became his signature move.  

This was not the only affair he was having on his wife.  He soon met his second wife and the mother of three children, Rosemary Letts, who became his partner in crime.  When Fred went to jail for theft in 1971, Rose murdered Charmaine, which then inspired Fred to kill his first wife Rena.  

After this event, the website known as independent says they went on to capture, rape, and murder several victims, which all occurred in the basement of the house they owned.

It was not until several years later in 1994 that a warrant was set out for their arrest.  Once captured, Fred committed suicide in his cell and Rose has a life sentence.  It is said that Rose is currently still in prison and according to news website called The Sun, she is very sick and might not make it.  Although Fred is deceased, one of his last quotes from Wikia criminal minds is, "Yeah, see, you've got the killing all wrong, no, nobody went through hell, enjoyment turned to disaster, well most of it anyway."
