Jeffrey Dahmer

Serial Killers: Jeffrey Dahmer
The world can be a very dangerous place and for very good reasons, one of these such reasons is the possibility that we could be killed in a moments notice by something, or someone, that we didn't expect. Jeffrey Dahmer, one of Americas most well known killers had taken the lives of seventeen innocent individuals and performed horrible acts to their bodies post murder. What may surprise most people is that Jeffrey Dahmer did not have an out of the ordinary life and yet he became of America's worst killers. Jeffrey Dahmer had grown into an unstable individual not through any normal means, he had developed his own way of killing his victims

Born to Joyce Annette and Lionel Herbert Dahmer Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Jeffrey Dahmer had no out of the ordinary childhood compared to most children. Though entering his early teen years according to the criminal museum website, Jeffrey during this time started to become more distant. he did not seek help for his mental issues and it was this that helped to form him into the killer he would soon become. After running rampant for years though, Jefrey Dahmer met his demise at the hands of a fellow inmate, Christopher J. Scaver, in a Wisconsin prison

Mr. Dahmer was also liked his drink, he started fat a young age as an attempt to ignore his problems. however this helped to contribute to his actions he would later take during his violent actions. it was later revealed that he derived pleasure from killing his victims in his own unique ways and according to the serial killer article by Peter Vronsky, he would be categorized as a pleasure killer, one who kills for sheer enjoyment. How Jeffrey Dahmer disposed of victims was however very clever, he would start cutting them up and putting them into bags and burying them in various locations as stated on the Crime Library's website.

Jeffrey started showing signs early on that he was not mentally stable as far back as his early teen years as stated on Bibliography.com. He did not get to see much of his parents because they were at work most days however but when they were he did not like to see them. He killed his first victim at the age of 18 in 1978. he would later be arrested at a hotel on July 22, 1991 where he would fail to subdue a victim, Tracy Edwards, who then flagged down the police after escaping.

People are not always what the seem to be from an outside perspective. Jeffrey Dahmer was just like any other person growing up, however he slowly started to go down a dark path that he would never return from. In the case of Jeffrey Dahmer, he showed how not even we as humans are not as far from being monstrous enough to do the actions that this man committed.
